What is ChaletOS Linux?
ChaletOS is a beginner-friendly Linux distribution based on Xubuntu and featuring the Xfce desktop. It provides a simple and intuitive desktop interface, modest hardware requirements and five years of security support.The name ChaletOS is derived from Swiss mountain houses whose concepts of simplicity, beauty and recognisability inspired the creation and design of ChaletOS. It uses a highly customized graphical session built around the Xfce desktop environment, which means that it is lightweight and very responsive, and designed to look like a Windows 7 desktop. It comprises of a single panel (taskbar) located on the bottom edge of the screen, as well as a clock, calendar and system monitor widget on the desktop.
