ExTiX 16.3 LXQt New Features and Improvements
ExTiX 16.3 ships with the latest Kernel 4.6 and will be based on the Debian GNU/Linux 8.4 “Jessie,” Debian GNU/Linux 9 “Stretch” and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) operating systems, the new ExTiX 16.3 LXQt distribution is built around the lightweight LXQt 0.10.0 desktop environment. It uses Google Chrome as its default web browser and also using WYSIWYG content editor instead of Adobe Dreamweaver.It supports for multiple video and audio codecs as well as support for a long list of file formats to enhance user experience. Other included software are LibreOffice office suite, Mozilla Thunderbird email and news client, GParted partition editor, Brasero CD/DVD writer, SMPlayer video player, SLIM login manager, and GCC (GNU Compiler) are also installed in ExTiX 16.3 LXQt Edition, along with the Nvidia 361.45.11 graphic driver for a better gaming experience.
